Colin Kaepernick’s mother and father disregard body art critique: Colin Kaepernick probably knew that enters the spotlight as quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers starting what would become a target of criticism. I could not have imagined that the review would be so ridiculous.
In a column that looks strange Sports booted directly from onion, David Whitley of AOL Fanhouse and Sporting News vomited up to 750 words about the amount of offensive Kaepernick tattoos.
“For dinosaurs like me, NFL quarterbacks were our little Dutch boys,” Whitley wrote. “The original hero, stuck his finger in the dike to save Holland. Quarterbacks of Pro were the last line of defense against the raging sea of ink. When our kids said they wanted a tattoo, we could always point to the Manning brothers . ”
We could break down over Whitley’s comments, but what’s the point? It’s a silly column designed simply to get attention. It’s like criticizing “The Jersey Shore” for not being realistic. That’s the point.
The column created enough of a buzz to arrive Thursday Rick and Teresa Kaepernick, Colin’s parents.
Kaepernick was a 4.0 high school student who has never been in any trouble. His tattoos are Bible verses. It is ridiculous that we are even Kaepernick defending against the charge of having tattoos.
“This guy has probably never spoken to Colin,” said Rick Kaepernick. “Instead of saying that Colin does all these great things and donates her time to children, this guy is going to do like a gangster. Seriously? Guess I just have to roll with the punches.
“Someone asked me if I was angry about that. I said no.’s Just a boy and his opinion. Might have an opinion about him, but I’ve never met the girl, so I do not know if my opinion would be in the truth. “
Whitley I’ve never met either, but we know enough about it to say one thing: man needs an editor.
